DSQUARED2// COLOUR ME BAD-ASS //

SUMMER DSQUARED EDITORIALS

DSQUARED2 FALL 2007

There is really not much to say when these photos say it all. DSQUARED2 make colour “BAD-ASS!” from the start they always played with colours and hot pink and red is a fav's you see in almost every collection. I seriously can’t think of designers who can mix biker leather pants with hot pink and get away with it looking ruff and sexy, and not flamboyant. I don’t think I can wait till summer so let’s just bust out the BRIGHTS and turn it bad-ass!!

HAPPY SUNDAY

WARNING: HOT & SEXY BRAZILIANS

It is official, Brazilians are just hotter than everyone else. Case in point Vman‘s latest story by Mario Testino featuring stunner Izabel Goulart and a sizzling cast of locals! The pictures styled by Andrew Richardson, with makeup by Val Garland are heavy on skin and steamy innuendo; perfect for channelling the energy and undeniable appeal of Brazilian beauty.

P.s we also love Miro Moreira who is missing in this editorial

MY NEW FOUND LOVE BOXMAGAZINE

I know iv been slacking off but trying to find time- for anything in my life is killing me. Iv been flat out looking for locations and organising photoshoots for Samisoni, and trying to do the whole full-time retail job (which I call studying).

Over the long weekend I hang out with some pretty AMAZING people. The owner of the boat (which was a mansion on water) was the owner of BOXMAGAZINE . I have never heard of it till then but it kept me busy till the wine kicked in. Then everyone was in party mode with the music pumping and everyone dancing all night.

Check out the site BOXMAGAZINE

P.s im hating the cold during winter but im loving the fashion!

Have a great week or weekend

Alexander McQueen// Savage Beauty Exhibition

Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty
May 4, 2011–July 31, 2011
Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Exhibition Hall, 2nd floor

The exhibition, organized by The Costume Institute, will celebrate the late Alexander McQueen's extraordinary contributions to fashion. From his postgraduate collection of 1992 to his final runway presentation which took place after his death in February 2010, Mr. McQueen challenged and expanded the understanding of fashion beyond utility to a conceptual expression of culture, politics, and identity. His iconic designs constitute the work of an artist whose medium of expression was fashion. Approximately one hundred examples will be on view, including signature designs such as the bumster trouser, the kimono jacket, and the Origami frock coat, as well as pieces reflecting the exaggerated silhouettes of the 1860s, 1880s, 1890s, and 1950s that he crafted into contemporary silhouettes transmitting romantic narratives. Technical ingenuity imbued his designs with an innovative sensibility that kept him at fashion's vanguard.
