Only a few days away from shooting the first campaign and look-book for SAMISONI. I cant explain how i feel - but NERVOUS & EXCITED best suits it for now! Lets hope it go's smoothly and the fashion god's watches over us.

Some times i find myself doing things im not good at, which is being organised! Last 2weeks i have been working like a dog to finalise designs to my collection to get the ball rolling for summer. I really cant wait to push though the whole setting up paper work crap, and get to the creative side where i can just focus on what i do best "DESIGN"-All i can say is watch out Australian women men are gonna heat this summer up!

ROCKING SAMISONI TO END THE SHOW

Last weekend was the wrap up for Rosemount fashion week and what better way to end it by wearing your own creation. Last year I was in love with Balmain’s fall 2010 collection which this photo- is where my inspiration came from. Your probably thinking is this what his collection will be based around womens turned mens???.....you’ll have to wait and see……..the website is in work so stay tuned.

THE MAKIING OF SAMISONI THE LABEL

Samisoni is my full Tongan name best know as Sam to friends and Soni to family and to the world of fashion it’s SAMISONI.

As a young kid I always had a flair for fashion which come’s naturally. It was one night I got asked to work in retail which, had never crossed my mind and decided to take up the offer. Everything in my life changed then 3years later I moved on to become a designer. Supre was my first official job which saw my potential to become more-I have never study fashion but I learnt off the best. Now in 2011 I moved on to work on my own men’s fashion label by myself. It’s been a long road but I think im ready to bring Australia what is missing. I’m all about standing out from the crowd and following the beat to what makes you unique.

My birthday is on March 18th which is when my first samisoni teaser will be released.
